Analytics for a podcast network

User interviews, wireframes and responsive analytics views for a podcast network's publishers.

Context

A podcast network needed better analytics for the publishers and producers who relied on it — people who wanted to understand their audience without wading through a data tool built for analysts.

Problem

The existing views didn’t match how publishers actually thought about their shows. The numbers were there, but the interface didn’t answer the questions people were really asking, and it didn’t adapt well across the range of devices producers used.

Approach

I started with user interviews to learn how publishers reasoned about reach and engagement, turned those findings into wireframes, and designed responsive analytics views around the real questions. Then I helped build them on the front end, so the research didn’t get diluted on its way into the product.

Outcome

Analytics views shaped by how publishers actually work, responsive across devices, and grounded in direct user research rather than assumptions about what the data should show.
