I'm a designer who codes, so I can take a design and rebuild it faithfully — and work out the system behind it even when one isn't handed over. Below are the design-systems and front-end engagements I take on, each with the concrete outcome it's meant to produce.
Design system audit
A structured review of an existing system — tokens, components, documentation and real adoption across teams.
You get a prioritized roadmap that says what to fix first and why.
Token architecture and pipelines
Move from flat, two-tier variables to a three-tier model (primitive → semantic → component) with a pipeline to match.
Figma variables flow through Tokens Studio and Style Dictionary out to CSS custom properties, React Native, Salesforce SLDS and other targets from one source of truth.
Multi-brand theming
One component set, many brands, driven entirely by token-based themes rather than forked components.
New brands ship by swapping a theme, not by rebuilding the library.
Figma library refactoring
Modernize component architecture with current variant and property patterns, variables and clean slot structures.
Fewer, smarter components — in past work, up to ~80% fewer variants to maintain.
Custom Figma plugins and design-ops automation
Plugins and scripts that remove the repetitive parts of running a system — audits, renames, token sync and QA.
Built with Vite and TypeScript so they are testable and easy to hand off.
Accessibility audits and remediation
WCAG 2.2 AA audits of components and flows, with fixes framed so both designers and developers can act on them.
Focus, state and contrast handled in tokens, so accessibility survives the next redesign.
Component builds
Framework-agnostic web components (Lit) that consume your tokens and drop into React, Vue, Astro or plain HTML.
One implementation that works across the stacks your teams actually use.
Website builds from your design
Hand off a design — Figma or otherwise — and get back a well-structured, hand-built website: semantic HTML, modern CSS and just enough JavaScript, fast and accessible by default.
Need your team to edit it? I wire in git-based or headless CMS so content changes don't require a developer.
Interactive touchscreens and kiosks
Large-format touchscreen apps for showrooms and sales centres — interactive floor plans, site maps and live inventory, built as fast React single-page apps.
They run offline on the physical kiosk as a packaged Windows app, stay client-editable through a built-in admin, and share one white-label codebase across multiple installations.
Workshops and training
Hands-on sessions that help designers and developers share a system instead of throwing work over a wall.
Drawn from corporate workshops and eight years teaching interactive design at Kwantlen Polytechnic.
Bilingual English / Japanese projects
Design and front-end work for Japanese clients and bilingual products, including localization.
Six years working in Japan means the language and the context both come included.
Not sure which of these you need? Tell me about the project and we'll figure it out.
